This page updated Jan. 30, 2012 63 rallye fuel gauges serviced. In the beginning my intention was to service a customers gauge in the same manner as my own. The problem found was in the condition of those gauges received. While approx. 75% are usable, others are not. I have serviced and returned of these rallye fuel gauges without failure, complaint, or return. In doing so I accumulated several gauge cores with various faults rendering them unusable. I have used parts from those to assemble "like new" gauges. My customers have and will continue to have most of if not all of the core charge refunded.

If you would like to receive the modified gauge and DeMonIVR unit before you remove the core part from your panel there will be a 35.00 U.S.D. core charge added and refunded providing we DO receive a core from you and the gauge portion of it DOES work.

If you would like to send your oil pressure and water temperature gauges along with your fuel gauge, I can clean, test, and recalibrate those too. Your cost is 15.00 each.

About the alternator gauge

These gauges are measuring ampheres. Due to how they connect to the vehicles wiring they are always on or live.

Every electrical component in the vehicle relies on current passing through this gauge.

There were literaly thousands of these gauges produced over many years. Many are still in use today.

There are reports of these "amp" gauges causing a fire in the wiring and or disabling the vehicle completely.

I can polish that screen and/or repaint that needle at no additional charge but I will not accept any responcibility

for the performance, accuracey, failure of that gauge, or damage resulting from it's failure.

I can convert the original "amp" gauge to a volt gauge. A volt gauge is connected to the vehicles wiring in a totally different manner.

It does turn off and on with the ignition switch like those other 3 gauges.

Its failure would not disable the vehicle.

The chances of this gauge causing a fire is greatly reduced.

The gauge will still have the original ALTERNATOR screen and pointer.

12 volts is displayed in center of original screen.

A couple of customers have asked for a volts scale layed over the hash marks on the original screen. I can do that too. This scale has 13 volts displayed at the centered pointer position and the gauge is adjusted accordingly.
